- James Fannin established position at Presidio La Bahía (Goliad)

- Feb 23-March 6: Siege and Battle of the Alamo; Mexican victory
- March 11: Sam Houston retreated eastward with main Texian army
- March 19-20: Battle of Coleto Creek; Fannin's force surrendered to Urrea
- March 27: Goliad Massacre; ~400 Texian prisoners executed
- Mexican army pursued Houston eastward
:: April ::
- April 21: Battle of San Jacinto; Houston's army surprised and defeated Santa Anna
- Mexican forces began withdrawing south after Santa Anna's capture
This campaign saw Mexican forces initially dominate but ultimately lose Texas after San Jacinto's decisive battle.
