Alexander's father was
Czar Nicholas I.
As Alexander II, he was the Russian Czar from 1855-1881, which puts his coronation right
at the end of the
Crimean War.
Alexander was assassinated by means of an
early car bomb, back in the days known as a carriage
bomb. Alexander's son followed him to the throne as
Alexander III.
