The City of London returned 4 members and the Universities of
Oxford & Cambridge 2 members
each.
In Wales the County towns returned their 1 member each in
conjunction with other smaller
boroughs of the same county, with the exception of (a) Merioneth
which had been disfranchised
in favor of Haverfordwest, (b) Beaumaris and Montgomery, which
had severed themselves
from their contributory boroughs.
