George Bernard Shaw 1856-1950
George Bernard Shaw was an Irish
playwright, born in Dublin.
George's father was George Carr Shaw.
His mother was Lucinda Elizabeth Gurly Shaw, who worked as a
music teacher.
George had two older sisters.
George Bernard Shaw's early works were a fiasco.
But he kept at it and was awarded the
Nobel Prize in Literature in 1925.
