Juvencio Robles (died 1920)

Nicknamed The
Torch, Robles burnt his way through Morelos.
Twice.
Having literally had a blast during the
Mexican Revolution
of 1910,
Brigadier General Juvencio Robles was also known
as El Insendiario or The Torch.
Juvencio Robles became military
commander for
Morelos
in February 1912. |
His target?
Emiliano Zapata and his
revolutionaries.
His specialty?
Cruelty.

By June 1912 it had gotten way too
nasty and President
Francisco Madero replaced him
with Felipe Ángeles.
After
Victoriano Huerta
had managed to get rid of Madero, the position as federal
arsonist for Morelos became vacant once more. By April 1913 Robles
was back at his job and torching away.
However, Juvencio Robles could only
hang on until October 1913, when he was replaced by
Brigadier General Adolfo Jiménez Castro.
