
Scipio Africanus the Younger 185-129

Scipio was originally Scipio Aemilianus. At the end of his
eventful life, he was known as Publius Cornelius Scipio
Aemilianus Africanus Numantinus.
Scipio was a Roman general. He achieved his greatest military
victories during the
Third
Punic War and afterwards in Spain.
Scipio Africanus the Younger was adopted by Publius Scipio,
who in turn was the son of
Scipio Africanus the Elder.
