From 1897 to 1901, William McKinley was the 25th president of the
United States.
His Vice President and successor was
Theodore Roosevelt.

WILLIAM MCKINLEY
On September 6, 1901, McKinley, while
visiting the Pan-American Exposition in Buffalo, NY, was shot twice
by Leon Czolgosz.
McKinley died on September 14, 1901.
