- Initial Dispositions and Movements:

Horatio Gates, Charles Cornwallis
Maryland Regiment
Delaware Regiment
North Carolina Militia
Virginia Militia

Camden, South Carolina

A meeting engagement. Cornwallis attacked with his right flank, stampeding the
American militia and cavalry.

The Continentals in reserve advanced to restore the line but were outflanked and defeated.
Meanwhile the American right drove back the British left until in flank and rear by the
converging British infantry and cavalry. Few escaped.
