The Romans Rally

Despite initial heavy losses and a disordered retreat, Caesar's leadership and the discipline of the Roman legions allowed them to rally.

Caesar ordered a strategic withdrawal to more defensible positions, preventing a total rout. The Roman forces managed to disengage and retreat back to their siege lines, bringing the battle to a close.
