Frances D. Gage 1808-1884
Frances Gage was born Frances Dana Barker in Marietta, Ohio.
She was busy on all fronts of the battle
for human rights.
On May 10, 1866, the
American Equal
Rights Association (AERA) was founded by
Elizabeth Cady Stanton
and
Susan B. Anthony.
One year later, Frances. D. Gage gave
her Address at the First Anniversary of AERA. Here is her
Address to the American Equal Rights Association from
1867.
