Jack the Ripper (alive in 1888)
Between August 7 and November 10, 1888, Jack the Ripper
killed at least five female prostitutes in London.
The British voted this guy
(or was it a woman??) worst Briton of the past 1,000 years.
Check it out.
It took Scotland Yard a while but in 2006 they presented a suspect
sketch of "Jack." The web page is gone by now, so it was
probably not that hot a lead.
