Muhammad II 1429-1481

Muhammad II, or Mehmet II,
or Mahomet II, was also called
Muhammad
the Conqueror.
He was sultan of the
Ottoman
Empire from 1444 - 1446 and again from 1451 - 1481.
In
1453, Constantinople was taken, and the Roman empire of the East
was destroyed by Muhammad II.
