Georges-Jacques Danton was born at Arcis-sur-Aube in France.
He became one of the leaders in
the
French Revolution.
As such he acted as the first
president of the
Committee of Public Safety.
Unfortunately for him, he was too moderate in the eyes of
other revolutionaries. Hence he ended up on the
guillotine
on April 5, 1794.
