On April 17, 1797, the Treaty of
Leoben, or
Peace of Leoben,
was signed at Leoben, a town in Austria.

The Treaty of Leoben was concluded between
France and Austria and signed by Napoleon himself.
This treaty was a provisional agreement. It was confirmed and made
official by the Treaty of Campo Formio, which declared
Napoleon
victor of the
War of the First
Coalition.
