Childeric III ?-755
Childeric III was the last ruler of the Merovingian Dynasty.
So decided
Pepin III the Short
and sent him to a monastery where Childeric conveniently died a few
years later.
The transfer of power from the
family clan of the Merovingians to the family clan of the
Carolingians had taken place. The year? 751.
