Florence Nightingale 1820-1910
Florence Nightingale was called the Lady of
the Lamp.
She became famous in the
Crimean War,
during which she worked in Turkey and the Crimea.
Florence thought
there was room for improvement on the nursing sector, went home
and became founder of the Nightingale School for Nurses in London.
That was in 1860.
