Jesse Jackson was born Jesse Louis
Burns, and it all happened in Greenville,
South Carolina.
From July 16 to 19, 1984, the Democratic
convention met in San Francisco with 3,933 delegates.
Jimmy Carter's former vice
president Walter Mondale had won the final round of
primaries. New York Governor Mario Cuomo gave the keynote
address.
On July 18, 1984, the stage was ready
for Jesse Jackson, who delivered his
Address to the Democratic National Convention.
On July 19, 1988, Jesse Jackson gave
another
Address to the Democratic National Convention. This time the
convention met in Atlanta, Georgia.
