Treaty of San Ildefonso 1796
This
Treaty of San Ildefonso
was concluded on August 19, 1796.
By this agreement, Spain
switched sides during the
War of the First Coalition,
which was part of the
French Revolutionary Wars.
Before, Spain was
part of the First Coalition. Now, Spain was
fighting alongside the French Republic against the Coalition.
