Clovis I 466-511
Clovis was king of the Franks from 481 -
511.
His family was the
Merovingian Dynasty.
Clovis defeated
Alaric II, the king of the
Visigoths, at the
Battle of Campus Vogladensis in
507, during which Alaric himself was killed.
This clash is also called the
Battle of Vouillé (Vouille)
although some think that this battle was fought at Voulon instead.
