Pablo Picasso 1881-1973
Pablo Picasso was a brilliant artist.
He was active as a painter, sculptor, and stage designer.
Spanish
born Pablo decided France was the country to live in. The reason? It
had Paris.
Together with co-artist Georges
Braque, Picasso became founder of Cubism.
What the heck is Cubism?
According to
dictionary, cubism is
"a style of art that stresses abstract
structure at the expense of other pictorial elements especially by
displaying several aspects of the same object simultaneously and by
fragmenting the form of depicted objects."
Ah!
Cubism
started around 1907.
Then there was the High Analytic
Period (1911-1912) during which the picture below was created. Click
