Publius Quinctilius Varus (died AD
9)
Publius was a Roman general. His father was Sextus Quinctilius
Varus, one of the guys who killed
Julius Caesar.
Publius managed to get himself and three
legions of Roman soldiers killed in the
Battle of the Teutoburg Forest,
a nightmare inflicted upon him by
Arminius.
