Vivekananda 1863-1902
Vivekananda was originally named Narendranath Datta. He was a
Hindu and spread the word.
Vivekananda was born and died in
Calcutta, India.
In 1893, he visited the World's
Parliament of Religions held at Chicago where he gave several
speeches that we will collectively title the
Death Knell of Fanaticism addresses.
This, by the way, was the first
convention of the World's Parliament of Religion. And here is
their website.
And here is the
Ramakrishna
Math and Mission website.
