Vyacheslav Mikhaylovich Molotov
1890-1986
Molotov's original surname was Skryabin. In order to add a little
oomph, he switched from Comrade Skryabin to Comrade Molotov. In
Russian, molotov means hammer.
Molotov became
Stalin's right hand.
As such and
on June 22, 1941, Molotov gave the radio announcement informing the
nation of Hitler's attack on the Soviet Union.
