Girls, listen and learn.
Wallis was born in Cockeysville,
Maryland, and, stuff happens, got divorced twice. Excellent choice
on the third marriage, however. Husband
Edward VIII, king of the
Brits found himself married to Wallis on June 3, 1937, and madly in
love with her at that. So much so that he gave up his right to rule.
And thus she became Wallis née Warfield,
ex-Spencer, ex-Simpson, duchess of Windsor.
Wallis lived
a great and fun life, which she spent in France and on the Bahamas.

Wallis wrote her famous
book with the evocative title The Heart Has Its Reasons.
