Che Guevara 1928-1967
Che Guevara's full name was
Ernesto
Guevara de la Serna.
He was a pro when it came to
guerrilla
warfare, no matter what country. Che buddied up with the
Castro brothers and together they
fought the
Cuban
Revolution.
On December 11, 1964, Che Guevara delivered his
Homeland or Death speech before the United Nations General
Assembly in NYC. Here is the original Spanish version,
Patria o Muerte.
On October 8, 1967, Che Guevara was
killed while forming a guerrilla unit in Bolivia.
Some people say, the body has been
returned to Cuba, others say, it's still in Bolivia.
Be that as is may, in October 2007 people
were excited when Heritage Auction Galleries in Dallas started the
bidding for one of Guevara's hair locks at $100,000.
October 28, 2007 - the auction is over.
The lock went to a Mr Bill Butler of Houston, Texas.
