1993.

Barbara Pierce.
Under
Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush served as Vice President.
On August 2, 1990, Iraq invaded Kuwait.
On January 16, 1991, George Bush
announced the attack on military targets in Iraq and Kuwait, in
effect the beginning of the
Persian Gulf
War.
