Events Building up to the War of the Third Coalition
On August 25, 1805, Bavaria concluded a treaty with France. As a result, Austria joined the allies against France.

September 8, 1805 - Austria invades Bavaria, a French ally

 

Major Battles and Events During the War of the Third Coalition

September 23, 1805 - Napoleon declares war on Austria

September 25 - October 20, 1805 - Battle of Ulm. French victory.

October 25, 1805 - France drives the Austrian army from Munich

November 13, 1805 - French troops enter Vienna, Austria

December 2, 1805 - Battle of Austerlitz. French victory.

December 10, 1805 - Treaty of Brünn, between France and Bavaria. Bavaria was now a kingdom.

December 15, 1805 - Treaty of Schönbrunn, between France and Prussia. Some territories were shuffled around, but the bottom line was that France gave Hanover to Prussia in order to alienate Great Britain from Prussia.

December 26, 1805 - Treaty of Pressburg
